Here Comes Monday!

After a very busy weekend, I am ready for Monday.

First thanks to Sue Grey, the Central Cheer Booster Parents and John Woods for the opportunity to MC the Big 12 Conference Cheer Championships.  Central won the JV title, while Centennial won the Varsity championship.


Quiz Question, Cheer & Trivia

I just answered the last of a bunch of emails on yesterday's quiz question where Air Supply was the only pure 80's group to begin their career with seven consecutive top 10 songs on the Billboard Hot 100.  No group did that in the 70's but the Lovin Spoonful and Gary Lewis & The Playboys did it in the 60's.  I was asked about the Beatles as to why it didn'


The Weekend!

Today will give us another shot of January weather but some 40's again next week.....amazing.

Life on the road in the big 10......tough night for the Illini!  But we move on quickly, the good thing we are back home this weekend and we have tickets to give away all day today.

Every morning for over 30 years we've done the special day book where during the course of the morning we'll announce a birthday or anniversary.  It is something so simple and is very easy for me to do.  I mentioned yesterday Janet & Craig Murphy who celebrated their 9th anniversary.  I have never met the Murphy's but they have been calling or emailing their special day every

Thanks to everyone who stopped by Wednesday as we wrapped up the Salvation Army Toy Drive.  It has been an amazing four and a half weeks this year.  Toys arriving at our studios everyday.  Many listeners heard our call for gift cards and cash donations (to purchase gift cards) for the older kids.  We had a Salvation Army Red Kettle full of cash and gift cards by 5PM Wednesda


Wednesday It's all About Toys, Gift Cards & Donations

Today is the All Day Drive Thru Toy, Gift Card and Donation collection for the Salvation Army.  From 7AM til 6PM you can drop off Toys for kids, Gift Cards for older children and cash donations (checks made payable to the Salvation Army) at the Carle Clinic location on South Mattis, just south of Kirby.

Tuesday-Ine Day Away From Drive Thru Toy Collection

Wednesday is the final day for our annual Toy Drive with Carle.

It's a day in which I need as much help as I can get.  Toys for the little kids, gift cards for the older kids.  Bring them by the Carle
