About Anabel Huling Early Learning Center
Established in 1985, Anabel Huling Early Learning Center (AHELC) provides excellent early childhood care, dedicated to the intellectual, physical and emotional development of every student.
A not for profit 501C-3 corporation, AHELC provides a warm and loving environment and ensures that all children are given quality care and attention, while ensuring that low income families within the community receive proper childcare.
A staff of caring professionals who understand children's needs and respect their differences, allow child to grow to their full potential.
Operating from two locations, AHELC serves 108 children, ages 6 weeks to 12 years!
We try our best to give each child a strong foundation for success!
The major purposes of Anabel Huling Early Learning Center are:
- To provide a warm and loving environment in which children will be given quality care and attention.
- To provide a staff of caring professionals who understand children's needs while recognizing that individuals are different.
- To encourage each child to grow to their fullest potential through an age appropriate process of learning.
The overall curriculum of the center is designed to meet the individual growth and developmental needs to each child enrolled. The administration and teachers work cooperatively with the parents to assess each child's level of development, interests and to work on individual goals based on these assessments. Each child uses various materials, and interacts with other children. The teachers observe and encourage individual children.
Guidance is provided as needed to extend the learning and enhance the enjoyment of each activity. The curriculum is flexible, the style is child center and caring. Activities are provided in social and emotional development-- large and small motor skills, music, math, science, dramatic play, sensory and many others.
