The U of I Sousa Archives and Center for American Music will continute the display World War 1 with America's March King. This exhibit explores Sousa’s musical contributions to America’s war effort and how this music reflected the era. Exhibit runs March 17th 2014-May 6th 2015. A list of weekly events at the CRIS Healthy Aging Center

  • Monday-Friday 6:30-9:30am CRIS Cafe serves breakfast. Thursdays a special breakfast is held on the patio
  • Join a game of Euchre Mondays 10:30am-1:30pm, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays 12:30-3pm
  • Play Bridge Mondays and Fridays from 12:30pm-4pm
  • Tuesdays is Day Campers Card Club. Members go to a park to enjoy the outdoors and play cards
  • 1st Thursday of the month CRIS hosts a BUNGO game
  • Monday-Thursdays is a "Strong for Life" exercise class from 9:30-10:30am

On September 16th the Spurlock Museum will open it's Fall Exhibit 'Artists of the Loom: Maya Weavers of Guatemala. This exhibit of over 90 textiles celebrates the artistry of the Maya weaving tradition. The exhibit will be on display through January 25th and is free during Museum Hours. 'Around The World Wednesdays' at the U of I Spurlock Museum are back. Children and their parents can participate in culture based crafts and activities in the Zahn Learning Center.
