The U of I Library will host "Ed Ruscha in Series: A rotating exhibition of books" Agust 10th-December 18th. Ruscha is an American artists based in Los Angeles and is considered one of the foremost innovators of contemporary artists' books. Click Here to find out more.

On October 6th the Spurlock Museum will open it's Fall exhibit Norht of the Northern Lights: Exploring the Crocker Land Arctic Expedition 1913-1917. Photopraphs, artifacts and documents will all be a part of the exhibit. This exhibit is free and open to the public during museum hours. Click Here to find out more.

Cunningham Township, 205 W. Greenstreet Urbana is currently collecting new and gently used winter items such as coats, sweatshirts, hats, gloves, scaraves, boots & throw blankets. You can make donations Monday-Friday from 8:30am-12:pm and 1-4pm. You can drop off donations now through March 1st 2016.

Daily Bread Soup Kitchen in Champaign is holding their annual backpack project Friday December 7th-16th. Daily Bread is looing for underwear, socks, warm hats, scarves, gloves, hand warmers, sweatshirts, thermal shirts and long underwear. You can also donate items like toothpaste, thoothbrushes, chapstick, hand lotion, snack foods and more. You can drop off donations from 9am-1pm at Daily Bread Soup Kitchen.
