17th Annual Children's Building Fair
The 17th Annual Children's Building Fair is scheduled for Saturday May 17th, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will be held in the Orpheum parking lot in downtown Champaign. The Champaign Historic Preservation Commission will be conducting historic walking tours at the event. Walking tours are scheduled for 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. starting and finishing at the Orpheum. Statewide Walk for Kids
The Champaign County Children's Advocacy Center plans to participate in a four day, statewide walk from Springfield to Chicago - The Champions for Children Walk 2008. Our staff members, board members, volunteers and community supporters will take off on Friday, May 16, from the State Capitol in Springfield. The walk ends on Monday, May 19 with a celebration at the Chicago Children's Advocacy Center. Champaign Tree Walk
Learn simple way to identify trees at the Champaign Tree Walk. No cost or registration required, just meet on the corner of Victor and University Avenue on Saturday, May 24th at 9 AM. The walk will last until 11:00 AM. For more information call (217) 333-7672.
Arthritis Walk
The Arthritis Foundation will be sponsoring a walk on Saturday, June 7th at Meadowbrook Park in Urbana. Registration will begin at 9:00 AM with the walk beginning at 10:00 AM. For more information call (217)-398-7815 or click the link above.
Bloomington Community Garden Walk
The Bloomington-Normal Community Garden Walk will be held Friday, June 20 from 1 to 8 p.m. and Saturday June 21 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets will be $12 in advance, $15 the weekend of the event and $7 for children ages 1 to 17. Tickets may be purchased in advance at a variety of vendors throughout Bloomington-Normal and at the David Davis Mansion the weekend of the event.
