Savoy Orchard Days Festival
The Village of Savoy will host the inaugural Savoy Orchard Days Festival at Colbert Park in Savoy September 17-19, 2010.
The three day festival will have fun for the entire family including arts & crafts vendors, flea market stands, carnival rides & kids' games, live music and a beer tent. The bands, which include several Savoy natives and residents, are the Tons 'O' Fun Band, The Crazy Johnny Band with Dawna Nelson, Captain Rat and the Blind Rivets(r) and the Boat Drunks. Body 'N Sole will sponsor the 5K Run/Walk on Saturday morning which will take participants through Savoy ending on top of the hill in Colbert Park. The Antique Car & Truck Show on Sunday will have attendees coming back for more up to the very last minute.
Registration for the 5K Run/Walk is open until September 11. Entries for the Antique Car & Truck Show are still being accepted as well as vendors of all kinds and volunteers for all aspects of the festival.

The celebration includes three signature events:

Honor Yesterday—A Historical Tribute: March 19 - April 7, 2010
o A historical exhibit chronicling Champaign’s story through
artifacts and narratives.
This summer-
Celebrate Today—Champaign Music Festival: July 10, 2010
o A birthday salute in downtown Champaign
o featuring entertainment from local musicians
o games and activities for the whole family
And in March 2011-
Build Tomorrow—A Legacy Dedication: March 11, 2011
o A legacy celebration
o Historic Virginia Theatre and Downtown Plaza
o Time capsule dedication \ Legacy fountain dedication
o An art exhibit by Champaign youth
