Come one, come all to the midnight ball the invitation is right here.

Thank you very much for stopping by to see me. I am new here at WDWS/WHMS. I started December 2, 2007 board operating on the weekends and filling in here and there through the week. Now I am on Lite Rock 97.5 Sunday mornings from midnight to 7 a.m. and I just started working promotions. I am very grateful for getting this job and I absolutely love it.

I guess I should give you a little history lesson about myself- I was born and raised in Arcola (about 35 miles south of Champaign) and still live in that amazing town. I am currently enrolled at Parkland College in the Mass Communication Program.

The reason why I wanted to get into radio is because my application to become a rock star kept getting rejected. Apparently you need to be able to do at least one of three things- play guitar, drums, or sing. I cannot do any of these things and I have a plethora of knowledge about music so I figured I may as well talk about the music. Plus I have a good face for radio.

When I was a kid my dinner plate was a steady diet of Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, and Jethro Tull. From there I just wrapped my arms around music and will never let go. I embrace all the great artists from the classic era of rock such as: Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, Eric Clapton, and The Rolling Stones. There are many others but you get the idea.

Movies are also a big part of my life. Honestly, I like the really bad horror movies, that arent scary, theyre more funny, you know the ones such as any of the Friday the 13th movies. I also love any movie with Charles Bronson in it (Death Hunt, Death Wish). My all time favorite films are The Big Lebowski, Fletch, Platoon, and The Empire Strikes Back. Yes I am a huge Star Wars nut as well.

Favorite sports teams include the Raiders, Cardinals, Illini basketball, and I have always been a Notre Dame football fan. I am also excited about what Ron Zook has been able to accomplish at the U of I.

Well I am going to take off now thank you for stopping by. Most importantly thank you for listening to WDWS/WHMS.
