Hallie Marshall

Hello! I’m Hallie and this is my little corner. You are here because you want to know my story. Once upon a time in a village far, far away, there was a young girl in high school that started interning at a little radio station, WPXN. She was put to work organizing and gather news stories. She was then promoted to a paid member of the team where she learned how to run an audio board. Later, she started at Parkland College and got involved with WPCD. She helped put together a party for 88.7 The Beat and 88 Rock’s 25th Anniversary. She learned many things about radio including how to use old-time equipment like carts and reels. A year into her college term, October 2002, she became a member of this radio station. She learned many new things about radio. She grew and grew to become a versatile member of the team. Then in May 2003, she graduated Parkland and in August moved to Carbondale to attend Southern Illinois University. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Radio/TV in December 2005. She moved back into the area to continue her work here. Currently, she is working Sundays 10:00a – 3:00p on Lite Rock 97.5 WHMS. She is also working at the University of Illinois. That is my story. I am so glad to be working with a great group of people and enjoying life. I am living with my boyfriend John and two dogs Panda and Seuss. I like movies, music, and hanging out with friends. Please, take the time to check out my recommendations below with Amazon.com. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the music!
